Keynote Speaker - Navigating the Perfect Storm: Influencing People in Times of Change
When a turbulent economy creates a need for deep and rapid change, people in your organization aren’t exactly jumping out of their seats to take it on. Sometimes you’re not either! These circumstances – each difficult on its own – can converge into the perfect storm, threatening to knock your organization far off course. This entertaining, research-based session explores how to handle the “people side of change” through strategies that the top 1% of leaders use to guide their staff through transition. The program answers two monumental questions: How do you get people to implement change without causing them to lose the will to live? And how do you personally avoid being overwhelmed as you promote change through the organization if you have to battle your own resistance to it? With an emphasis on teamwork, communication, and leadership, this program shows you how to weather the perfect storm while still looking damn good in a raincoat!
About Garrison Wynn
Garrison Wynn helps people learn how to make the jump from being great at what they do to understanding and developing the qualities it takes to be chosen for the job. He gets them to understand why their products, services, or leadership styles— or those of their competitors — are selected. As he says, “If the world agreed on what’s best, everybody would choose the best and nothing else would be considered. Decision making doesn’t work that way.”
As a keynote speaker, author, and consultant, Garrison has worked with some of the world’s most effective corporate leaders and salespeople, from multibillion-dollar manufacturers to top New York Stock Exchange wire houses. He has a background in manufacturing, entertainment, telecommunications, and financial services. Garrison started as a sales and marketing person in a branch office of a Fortune 500 company at age 24 and was chosen to be department head at corporate headquarters three years later. He researched and designed processes for 38 company locations nationwide and developed and marketed products still being sold in 30 countries. An experienced actor in films and a former professional stand-up comedian, he has hosted television specials and national radio programs.
His new book published by McGraw Hill titled “The REAL Truth about Success: What the top 1% do differently and why they won’t tell you” is available in all major bookstores.
